I am in the process of writing a paper on the EU's asylum policy. I am looking specifically at asylum applicants who are living in destitute conditions in a homeless shelter in the small and densely populated Mediterranean island-State of Malta.

The paper covers a broad range of topics from "spaces" such as refugee camps; language; human rights; securitization; to EU legislation and its implications on stateless people.
